Unlimited plan on iPad 3G

I ordered my iPad on May 24, and received it today, June 7. It did indeed offer me the option to choose the $29.99 unlimited plan, which I promptly did!

Evidently, the info posted on the Apple Store site about ORDERING before June 6 was a fact. I was afraid that I would have had to ACTIVATE the iPad prior to June 6 for the unlimited plan to be available.

Just my personal experience, and I hope this answers some concerns that some have had about the availability of the unlimited plan.

Apple has been great, best customer service I have ever dealt with but still cannot get issue fixed.
AT&T has given a million excuses and even after a conference call between Appl, AT&T and myself the issue should have been fixed last week but still nothing. Apple called me Friday night and we decided to wait until Monday to contact AT&T.
The last thing AT&T said Wednesday night was the reason I had not heard was that the ticket was just sitting there and had not been forwarded to the proper person. I was told that the proper person was the one we were speaking on the conference call with and the issue would be handled immediately, no word since from AT&T.

I think whoever order through apple website will get the unlimited plan. I ordered mine on June 6 from apple's website. Still waiting. They said shipping date is June 21. We'll see how it goes. I hated second generation of iphone so I gave to my friend after 2 month of use. I wish this doesn't let me down like Iphone did. I liked the phone but not service!

I ordered mine from the website on June 3 and it arrived this morning. It actually shipped and arrived 2 business days earlier than the original dates.

One of the very first things I did was sign up for the unlimited plan which was there as expected. I thought there was a problem after multiple attempts to submit my credit card. I knew the number, name, etc. were correct after checking very closely. Turned out my dyslexic mind had switched a couple of numbers for the authentification code! After I fixed that, sign-up was quick and painless.

Same here! Arrived today with no unlimited plan offered. I will be big league ****** if I ordered this **** thing before June 6 and now cannot choose the unlimited plan as promised. 2GB is nothing and will barely last me a day or two.

I'm currently on the phone with AT&T and the guy (in India) is not being very helpful. I might well be returning this device today. Anybody have any suggestions.
