I have an iPhone 3G that sometimes makes calls by itself. The screen is locked, but people keep calling me asking why I called them and would not talk.
Does anyone else have this problem and how can I fix it?
This has been reported before and it's happened to me twice, but not in many months. Not sure if it's an iPhone or carrier issue. You can use the Search Discussions box to see other threads but I don't believe there is a solution. It will probably stop happening to you... that seems to be the case with myself and others.
I too have had this issue going on for a little over 2 weeks. The phone makes 5-7 calls daily to random people all in my area code.
The funny thing is that people call me back asking why Im calling the from New York? For some reason the first 3 numbers of my phone turn into the prefix and uses the last 4 numbers then adds 357 to the end.
I have done a restore, changed Sim card and have had ATT kick me off their network and then re-add, Iphone still making calls.
Mine does the same thing and it's usually who I called last. I will look down and the phone will have made two or three repeat calls. It wastes minutes and people will say they could hear me in the background but I did not know the phone had dialed. This is very annoying. I can't figure out how to stop it.
