iPad (WiFi 16GB) won't find my location (when my iPod touch does)

I have a strange problem I don't quite understand.

I bought my iPad 16GB WiFi (OS 3.2)two weeks ago and used it in different networks and it worked perfectly fine. Now I have come back to my apartment and ever since the iPad is unable to find my location (and the option is not switched off).

Maps won't find my current location, the same with all the apps that use it..

Taking my iPad to another WiFi (work, college) solves the problem. So I was inclined to think it has something to do with my network.

However my iPod Touch 16GB 2nd Gen. works perfectly fine in my private WiFi network and the locations work as well.

So what is the problem here?
Any suggestions or solution?

Thanks in advance

Do you have a dual band router? Maybe the touch is connecting to the 2.4GHz network while the iPad is connecting to the 5GHz network. It is possible that the Skyhook database only has the ID for the 2.4GHz network.

The strength of the signal shouldn't matter as long as the WiFi is working at all.

Also, make sure that you have location services turned on in your settings (I assume that it probably is).

I have the same problem. I registered my router a year ago and again a few months ago at skyhook. I know I did it correctly as it accepted it. Also when I start up MLB2010 to watch baseball on my iPad, it finds my location, which is required for it to work properly and blackout Twins games. So I know my router was registered correctly with skyhook. Also as the OP stated, maps finds me correctly on my iPod touch at home but not on my iPad.

Some updates here. The thing is more and more strange...
I went in an apple store. Guess: erevything worked just fine....

Anyway i came back home. Everything fine.
Trirf other networs (one of it was via nokia 5800) with joikuspot that means it (nokia cell I mean) was seen as a regular wifi spot. Everything fine.

Then i moved away from my home in my office. I tried again via nokia. No luck.
Came back homr. Nothing. Again completely gone. No chance.
Of course ipod touch working ever and ever and ever and ever.

I suspect there is some sort of "cache" in maps application and once maps is not able to find location for some reason it freezes and no matter if you chanfe your network it doesn't work anymore. Even after soft and hard reset this "setting" doesn't seem to be 'erased'
What i can't understand is what happened in the apple store. It was like something resetted al this thing in maps and everything started again to work.

I'm quite sure this is a sw bug in the ipad.
Now I'm again at the starting point. And I don't know how to solve this big issue

I am also pretty surre its the iPad. I man why should my iPod Touch work perfectly Fine with the exaclty Same settings in the Same wifi as my iPad?

It is really annoying because i can't really use a Lot of apps properly because it can't check my surrounding without my Location ... That is really lamme and i wish Apple Gould finally do something against it.
