Ipad to ethernet?

Staying in a hotel this week I had no WiFi in the room (I could use an ethernet cable). There was free Wifi in the lobby but it would have been nice to check email in the room. Is there an accessory that will let you hook the ipad into an ethernet port?

Thanks

I too would love to see an ipad ethernet adapter. For all the scenarios you guys write and for the most important issue for me at least. To avoid radiowaves from wifi. I am worried, that not many are sharing these thoughts of protecting our selves and our kids from the evident radiowaves that are found in our mobile phones, iDevices. I turn off all wifi and 3G when my kids play with the IPAD. Laugh of this today, be sorry of this tomorrow. Please let us have ethernet. Is apple worried that we will be able to do bad things over ethernet that can be controlled over wifi?

I know it's heresy to mention anything other than the Airport Express for Apple wifi, but I've been travelling with a Zoom 4506 Wireless N 3G Travel Router and this works nicely with the Ipad.

Originally I bought it so I could set up Wifi hotspots using a 3G "dongle" and attach my Laptop (Win7 - I'm not proud), Kindle and, more recently, my new ipad2 to the internet at the same time while travelling. This Zoom can be battery powered so it gets use in the car too.

The surprising bit is that it also comes with an ethernet port that can be configured to be a WAN port or a LAN port, and furthermore you can configure it with Safari using Wifi direct from the Ipad. So in a recent trip with just the Ipad and this router I was able to attach it to my Hotel room's ethernet cable and minutes later had a wifi hotspot serving my room and the adjacent ones.

The ipad may not have ethernet, but this is a pretty decent bridge to ethernet.
