Cleaning Ipad screen!

Curious what you people are doing/using to clean the iPad screen? thanks for any follow ups!

I was recently in an Apple store...and the apple employees highly recommend not to use screen protectors for whatever reason!

Apple's own directions say damp, lint-free cloth.

Can't imagine that a tee-shirt, even if freshly laundered, would fit that bill!

In another line of optics work, I've found that there is lots of lint, dust, and fiber debris on just about everything. Wash hands well, wash out cloth, wring out until damp, then apply changing portion of cloth (micro-fiber in my case).

The best way I have found to keep my iPad 2 clean is by using a microfiber cloth. I have tried quite a few and the best by far was the Pristine Screens cloth. The other cloths I tried just felt cheep, this one on the other is definitely high quality and lived up to all of the hype. I bought mine on Amazon but they have a website too. Hope this helps! :-)

I totally agree! Our hands are pretty dirty things and our beloved iPad, as beautiful as it is, needs to be cleaned properly. It is glass so I've never had any propblems wipeing it down. My prefered wipe (its an addiction actually) is See Clear Lens Cleaner from Wipemart. Believe me I did a lot of research befor I purchased. Its polypropylene fabric so there is no way its going to scratch your iPad plus it easily removes all of my fingerprints. Also, I find that they have just the right amount of solution. These things are addicting 🙂

Never use chemicals on your iPad or any electronic devices, the chemical will strip away the protective coating and will ultimately damage your screen. Instead use a microfiber cleaning cloth like the ones sold at www.kbcloth.info and slightly wet it and wipe your iPad screen clean. Make sure that the cloth is only damp and not wet. This is the best way to clean your iPad.

"smudgy" certainly is a word! From the built in New American Oxford Dictionary that comes with all Macs!! Fantastic dictionary and that it's provided free on the Macs and the i-devices is a really big plus!
