After 3 hours of searching for a solution, this worked wonderfully for me. Thanks!
Hi Allan - glad to finally finding your post after trying different ways to get rid of the message.
Deleting Cache worked!
Thanks!
I purchased new iPad 2 and had the "cannot sync" error. Same as the others I searched spotlight for "iPod Photo Cache Folder" and deleted the 3 that I had. One of them contained no file. Synced again and no problems anymore.
""Note"" make sure you search for iPod Photo Cache Folder, and not iPad.
Thanks,
Try this. It worked for me after trying the other suggestions.
Open iTunes
If you are syncing Movies and Photos untick them one at a time.
Then click Apply after each one.
If you want to sync them then re-select each one.
I found that once I disabled syncing for both and re-enabled them the error stopped and I was then able to sync the iPad as normal.
just a fyi that I'm an Aperture user, and got a similar error. Opening the Aperture library (show package contents) and deleting the "iPod photo cache" folder fixed it for me. And I have an iPad! Now the sync completes.
My iPad 2 synced fine with iTunes before I updated the software today. Now I also get this crap of not being able to sync as some kind of file cannot be found. I've deleted the cache, restarted iTunes, hard-restarted the iPad, unclicked the photos to be synced, reclicked again and again and no go!
***?! I bought a Mac to get AWAY from this PC kind of problem! How the **** do I sort this out?
It worked fo me too. Thanks a lot!
Nothing has worked for me so far.
Worked for me as well. Thanks!
This worked for me with an iPad 2 as well after the sync was interrupted. Thanks for posting the fix!
Delete the iPod Photo Cache on the computer side?!?! Of course! It's so obvious, I don't know why I didn't think of it in the first place! 😀
Seriously, I just want to say thanks to you (and folks like you) for taking the time to help solve the often baffling issues that come up.
Thanks!
I was having the same problem with a new iPad when I was syncing a backup of a previous one to it from new. Followed your advice above and it is now syncing without issue - Good advice - Thanks 😁
