iPhone Bluetooth and Acura Hands Free Link (HFL)

I have a problem using my Iphone with the Bluetooth Hands Free Link (HFL) of my 2009 ACURA TSX.

When dialing out from the iPhone, the call's Audio Source switches from "HandsFreeLink TM" to "iPhone" as soon as the call is answered by the other party.

I can press the HFL Audio source again a couple times and eventually get it to stay, but by then the other party has often hung up. 😟

I can instead press the car's Voice Command button and say "Transfer" after the call is connected, but this also involves a delay and is confusing to the other party.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My wife has a 2006 Acura TL with Bluetooth handsfree and you cannot dial a call from a cellphone and get the call to broadcast over the handsfree link. We have tried this with multiple phones, not just the iphone. You have to make and answer all calls from the steering wheel controls to get the call to work properly, regardless of the model cell phone used.

I don't have experience if the 2009 Acuras behave the same, but based on the experience with our 2006 Acura, my experience is the behavior of the Acrua Bluetooth rather than the iphone.
