iPad Safari crashing regularly

Safari on my iPad is crashing fairly frequently; sometimes when I restart it retains the pages that were previously open, and sometimes not.

Have not yet established a pattern, but it seems prevalent on very large pages (for example pages with many images) and on pages with embedded video (particularly Flash).

Anyone else experiencing the same issue and/or have any further information? Anybody using a browser other than Safari on the iPad?

Mac OS X (10.5.1)

So the consensus regarding The Ipad 1 and anyone having crash problems on stock apps after fresh factory restore or opening brand new from packaging.. is Apple does not care, because if they did it would be fixed instead of band-aids (that do not work) and excuses.?

I think I understand now, I will not be buying any more apple products again since this is the result of their lack of effort, care and resolution. Taking advantage of customers instead of fixing an issue is pathetic, greedy and selfish at best and criminal at worst.

Thanks, Apple. You have made the decision to quit you ever so easy.

I too have an Ipad 1st Generation. And no matter what I've done I have a stock, brand new machine software wise that crashes... on stock apps. Safari, Mail etc... it's worthless, oh how the mighty will fall.

- Disappointed but not surprised.

All,

I too am having the issue where my iPad 1 is crashing on certain sites for Safari. I made a static copy of one of the sites that cause the crash every time. This allows you to not have to worry about the site changing out from under you when trying to fix the issue. So feel free to can go to http://reset-ipad1-safari.herokuapp.com to see if you are having this issue.
