No white iphone 4?

Apparently the new iPhone 4 in White will be an 'upgraded' model to the black one with a faster processor and antena problems fully resolved...

Word at the o2 shop is a few weeks from now.. :S

Can someone else back this up please? o2 also said they will have them by end of July. I have called my local stores several times and try to speak to different people to see if I get an answer but they never say.
Also what will happen to this white Ip4's that were seen in o2 stores but never went for sale, have they gone back?
Why will apple say the end of the year and o2 says a few weeks?

I do not think that Apple would within a few months bring the white version but better than the black one, it would not be fair to the customers owning a black one. They have brought out a new phone this year so I would assume they have to leave something to be brought out for next year. They can just bring a new update for the problematic ones.

What about the people that have to wait 3 weeks for theies balck Ip4? will the be getting a new improve antena?

Can I have people opinions on this please?

I spoke to O2 last Thursday and was told the white wouldn't be available till the end of the year.

Will be v annoyed if it appears in next few weeks as have been waiting for white but the end of the year along with the fact that the software update has made my 3G almost unusable made me upgrade to black.

I am starting to think that they are people out there who lie about this, maybe they think is funny to lie to people to start debates in regards the Ip4.

I have read several times coments of people who has gone to O2 and come back with a hopefull but very unrealistic result. I will not be going with O2 if someone keeps telling this information to customers. I now believe if Apple says end of year it will be end of year or later, i dont think it will be earlier, or so I hope, i want to get moreuse out of my black Ip4 🙂

There is no faster processor. And furthermore, Apple has gone on record saying that there is no Antenna-Gate, which means that they will not be changing the iPhone 4.

They are going to be the same until 2011 when they have an iPhone 5.

Thats bad if I will have that long for white one. I hope Apple will manage with this problem fast. It would be a bit late to launch white one on end of year.

As far as I remember the original press release said "available later this year" not at the end of the year so I guess December 2010 is the worst case scenario. I am still waiting for my white iPhone and hope for a september release.

Sigh. Running out of patience. Should I just get the $7.99 "solid white skin"?

You're right, it is easy to "fix". That's why they "fixed it" by not releasing a white iPhone.
Seriously, put the thing in a case and you'll never know what color it is. Geesh. It's just a frackin' phone. No reason to get all worked up.

Apparently it just looks like ****, the white paint just chips. There would be no way to resolve the antenna problem, you just cant do it without changing the phone in a big way!

Honestly just buy a black one and buy a white tattoo or skin.

you can get a black iphone and send it to iresq they will convert it (jon4lakers used iresq that is why he has a white iphone 4 ) price about 200 but if you let them keep your black iphone parts they will lower the price to 70 $ hope this helps 🙂 p.s i got my white iphone that way
