Can I burn DVD's of the movies and tv shows I download from itunes?

Can I burn DVD's of the movies and tv shows I download from itunes and play them in my dvd player? This would be ideal for me for home...I have a macbook and ipad that I have downloaded these onto and have disco for burning discs. I notice that if I burn music, it is locked so I can't play on a cd player, is this is the same for movies?
I need help here please?

No. iTunes can create backup DVDs of them, but those aren't usable in a DVD player.

I have downloaded video we have created for a presentation into itunes library and it won't let me click and drag into DISCO burning software to burn that. Very frustrating - there has to be a way to do this...please anyone?

If you've created it outside of iTunes, move it to the DVD burning software directly without going through iTunes. If it's in iTunes but isn't an iTunes Store download, locate the file associated with it and send that to the burning software.

I am not sure how to do that. I have it only in itunes at present. Can I access it other ways?

Also - how do I burn movies and tv shows onto disc to watch on a dvd player in our lounge room? help please

You burn them as you would any other data file on your computer. I'm using a different OS version than you so specifics probably won't help. Therei's probably a way in finder to create a burn folder, add items to it, then burn them to disc.
