White Iphone 4

Why Can't I pre-order the white Iphone 4? It says I can't pre-order and it is also not available in store for pick up! Does anyone know why?

A supply problem. White probably available later this summer.

Because it is not available at this time. If you want white, you'll have to wait.

Ok, I've been waiting for this phone for a year and now you're telling me I have to wait just to get the color I want? And we don't even know how long it will take? No thanks. Give me the phone and I'll find a way to get the white when ever it may possibly become available.

A) You don't know it will be a month

B) It may not be until August

C) The phone launches soon and I would really like to get it then.

not true i was just at best buy and they told me white and black are available and ppl where pre ordering the white

best buy was lying to you, white iPhones are NOT available to preorder, not thru AT&T, not thru Apple or any other sales channel. There has not be a release date given for the white one yet.

I actually pre-ordered a white one from best buy. Im hoping that they are not out of the loop? I was leary and asked the sales guy three times if he was sure they were able to pre-order the white. Then afte i got home i was still a bit troubled by Apple not having them but Best buy did so I called around and all the best buys around are pre-ordering the white?

ya i went to 2 local best buys and both were letting preorder of the white i have a friend who works their inventory and he checked their manifest for their truck that comes in on friday and he said that there were a lot of each color and gb coming in

First question.... if i buy the iphone black today and then in a week or so lets say the white one comes out.... can I return the black one and get the white one.... it says the return policy is 30 days... assuming the phone is in perfect condition of course....
My other question is for the person that says bestbuy has both phones.... they have the white one for preorder? Are you sure?

yea i pre ordered it and he showed me the manifest for their truck they are getting in i used to work their so i know bout their inventory and plus best buy is also offering a 15 dollar month protection for the phone and that covers everything scratches dirt if the white gets looking bad etc

I'm disappointed, too. I hope it's available soon. It's a drag to wait around for something to be released, only to find that it's not really ready yet! I wonder what the hold up is? I wonder if it has to do with the white polycarbonate and quality control?
