AT&T Store - Checking Order Status

I managed to preorder my iPhone through AT&T's site around 5:45am eastern time; the confirmation email was received about ten minutes afterwards, so I can only assume all is well with my order.

Out of curiosity, for those who also ordered from AT&T's site as opposed to the Apple one, have any of you attempted to check your order status using the link provided in the confirmation email? It's clearly stated in both the email and on the status page that orders placed within the last 24 hours are likely to not show up yet, which is precisely the case for me as of 5:30pm eastern time. I can only assume the order will be recognized by the status page sometime tomorrow but I'm interested to know if anyone has had luck finding their order through the link ( https://www.wireless.att.com/orderstatus/order_statusresults.jsp)

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

this morning around 5 in the morning i pre-ordered the iphone 4 and i checked my order status under back ordered quantity everything had 1 but later on i checked back and nothing for me is back-ordered. all is still "in progress" i didnt have add an email to the profile so i didnt get a confirmation but i guess i will just keep checking the status page anyway.

I was able to pre order around 1030am PDT and received the confirmation email around 11am PDT. I was able to click on the link in the email and my order status was already there. Last I checked on the order status it went from received to proccessing and the next step is shipping which wont happen til next week. There's not a lot of info available only date of order and order number.

when i click on "in progress" it brings up the status explanations:

In Progress: Our warehouse is still processing this item for shipment.

Canceled: This item has been canceled and will not be shipped.

Partially Shipped: Some of the items have shipped. If an item is on backorder, an amount will appear in the Qty Backordered column.

Shipped: Our warehouse has shipped this item.

theres no processing on mine.

i guess whether its processing or in progress it probably won't make much of a difference as long as your order is not back-ordered. those are the dreaded words a consumer never wishes to hear.

you should be fine, today i had to go to my at&t store and i brought up the question that since i ordered mines online earlier that morning how likely is it that i would receive mines on the 24th and he said "chances are very high" even including the ppl that was at the store preordering at that moment at 10 in the morning. so let's hope his words are true.

Yeah same here. I Made the preorder around 12 noon PST and have a printed order confirmation but as of 12am, still no confirmation email. My credit card hasn't been charged yet. I've tried checking my AT&T account using both the confirmation number and my phone number to no avail.

I'm searching these boards for answers but if anybody has anything to add, that would be greatly appreciated.

As of 8:45am this morning (approximately 27 hours after preordering), my order is now showing up as "in process" and my credit card has been charged $1.00 two times, I suppose to make sure it's valid. I'm assuming the card won't be charged in full until the order actually ships; not sure why some people do get charged in full up front while others don't (maybe it has to do with credit score?). In any case, all is well. I am expecting mine to be here on the 24.

So here's an update...

I was able to log on to my AT&T account around midnight 6/16 and view the order. It states the model, SIM, and shipping is "In Progress" I still haven't received a confirmed delivery date and logging on today has been a hit or miss. I was charged *$365.41* (32gb model) by AT&T.

unable to order online, I went to my local AT&T store around 9:15am EDT and had to wait in line about 20 minutes. When processing, the system started crashing and the order had to be stopped and restarted several times. Finally, at about 11:30am the sales receipt came out and the preorder was complete, but for some reason the system would not allow shipment to my home, only to the store.

When I got home later that afternoon, I received a confirmation email indicating that my device would ship +ON OR AFTER JUNE 24+

Anyone else got this? Is this what they say on all of them or do some guarantee the 24th?
