10.6.4 / iTunes complete FREEZE

I'm on 2.4 GHz IC2D iMac. I just updated to 10.6.4 this morning.

I usually listen to iTunes in the background as I write emails or use Safari.
I keep iTunes in the "mini-player" mode. Since updating to 10.6.4, every
time I hit the "+" button to maximize iTunes from mini-player mode, the finder freezes.
The music still plays, the mouse cursor still moves but everything else
(and I mean everything) is completely frozen.

I have to use the power-button to turn off and reboot.

Any ideas?

I am seeing similar symptoms. I regularly have iTunes playing music while I work. Sometimes everything freezes apart from the mouse pointer and the music. You can move the mouse pointer as usual, but no user interface elements respond to it; the machine is similarly unresponsive to the keyboard, the displayed time is not updated, etc. The music starts playing at the end of the current track.

I don't believe that clicking the maximise button causes symptoms in my case. I regularly maximise and minimise iTunes.
