Add another Mac user with this same problem to this list. After I first encountered this problem I googled it and found a thread talking about this same problem:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=959979
I then took it to Mac with the computer currently in the scrambled display and showed how I couldn't use Pages, Numbers, and other programs. They immediately told me it was the logics board and replaced it. A few days later it started all over again and noticed when I turned off the Automatic Graphics switching that the computer resolved itself. I've contacted Mac again and they told me that unless I could show them how to recreate it on the spot, there wasn't anything they could do and that I should wipe the computer and start all over. This doesn't help. The best I can do a recreating this is to open a few websites that are Flash heavy and then running Pages and Numbers to tax the graphics card.
I'm getting tired of sitting on my hands waiting for a fix and hope one comes soon.
I think that some news outlet needs to break a story about this so our voice gets heard and Apple acknowledges they are having another graphics issue. Hopefully the new processors in the yet to be released MBPs fixes this problem.
Best of luck to everyone dealing with this issue.
