10.6.4 USB Pro Speakers (G4 Cube) don't work on Macbook Pro

PS: my retrieved version is 2.6.6, 848 KB on disk.

After a reboot I needed to do another:

cd /System/Library/Extensions/
kextload ./AppleUSBAudio.kext/

But, I can live with that.

Guys, does anybody have a saved copy of AppleUSBAudio source code by hand?
It is no longer opensource, and I cannot find the sources anywhere...
Please, if you saved 273.4.1 or 276.4.4 or any other version (for 10.6.x), I'd appreciate your help!

As far as I know the usb isub and cube speakers never worked together - but please let me know if that's not the case.

Please don't landfill them. I will pay a decent price for them as a new Cube owner without the HK speakers at present. tim

I do need these speakers work again...

I can't understand why Apple removed those bloody drivers... These ancient speakers did no harm to anyone and used to work perfectly...

I'll take the risk of beeing labeled as "dummie" because I need your help
I have to pairs of M7963 speakers. I have asorted Macs om OSX 10.6.5. The dont sound at all - and I miss them. I also hate throwing things away that could be used (And yes - I'm in love with their looks....)

I have used some time trying to figure out whats wrong. Since they used to work, and hasn't been treated badly and since they have sound in the headphoneconection I have come to the conclusion it must be a softwareproblem. And probably something related to OSX- uppgrade.

And so I found your thred here. I should probably be expected to fix this - with the information at hand. But I'm sorry, I cant. I love my Macs, and compared to most 49 year old women I'm probably rather insightfull. But my knowledge of the "lingo" is limited

So please - if someone can try to explane what I have to do, step by step I'll be most gratefull. I know it would take some time to write it down, but it would mean a lot to me

please can I have a copy of the driver from 10.6.2 or 10.6.3?

I used Pacifist to extract and install AppleUSBAudio.kext v2.6.4 from my 10.6 DVD. It does not work ! I wonder what is wrong.
