Google Groups won't load--looks to be caught in a loop

I can get to the google groups page, but when I try to click on any of the links for groups that I am already part of, Safari gets hung up. It starts looping through several http addresses but never "lands" on one. It looks to be an infinite loop. I tried clearing the cache.

The tab that Google groups is trying to load in says "redirecting" as the title of the tab. When I click the x to stop the process, here is one of the http addresses that has shown up:

https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=groups2&passive=1209600&con tinue=http%3A%2F%2Fgroups.google.com%2Fgroup%2Fgs-scans%3Fpli%3D1&followup=http% 3A%2F%2Fgroups.google.com%2Fgroup%2Fgs-scans%3Fpli%3D1

Seems to be a problem since the recent update. Any ideas?

Hi: I had the same problem as Linda and follow Carolyn's advice, removing the cookies relating specifically to Google Groups. Restarting Safari the redirect "from ****" vanished and I was swiftly transferred to the Google Group I was trying to access.

Carolyn's solution worked for me wonderfully. And I note the lag time of 59 min from posting the problem to the solution. Thanks to both of you. It's great to have a community that works this well.
