Application update all Information outdated

Does anyone know of a solution for the "The information on this page is outdated. Click OK to refresh the page. If you have available updates after refreshing, click Download All Free Updates" message?

I open iTunes the go to the app store and click Download All Free Updates. It always gives me the message that the page is outdated, I have to click OK then it refreshes the page with the exact same app updates and I have to click Download All Free Updates again for it to continue.

This happens every time I have new app updates whether I launch iTunes or every time the iMac goes to sleep and I open iTunes when it was already running.

This worked for me...perfectly. I removed an application that was no longer found in the app store and my "error 5002" is gone!

The Tangram Puzzle Pro is fine, and still available. It was the Holiday Edition of Tangram Puzzle Pro that is no longer available.

Glad to see this is working for most people. Unfortunately, I got the error again today. I guess I'll go through all my apps again and check to see if there is one that became unavailable in the last day. I'll post back with my findings. Otherwise, we may need to keep investigating this issue, it'd be nice if someone at Apple could maybe take a look. (hint, hint, Apple overlords!!!)

Found it, I did have an app that became unavailable: Word Trix.

Removed it and back to no error message.

FYI, I officially submitted this bug to Apple on their iTunes feedback page, so with any luck we should see this bug squashed in a future update.

My error returned as well...I'm going to comb through my apps one more time...Hopefully a fix is forthcoming!

Same problem folks! I think this problem has been a constant since updating to iTunes 9.2 on Snow Leopard 10.6.4.
As you all say, the main way seems to be have to click 'Download All Free Updates' a second time.
Pretty annoying since I check for updates for my apps daily, with updates coming thick and fast to incorporate iOS4 features like multitasking and background audio 😟
Please fix this Apple!

Out of my 303 applications, I removed the following apps and now the problem seems to be resolved.

Thanks all for your investigations. I too have had this irritating message since .... something changed and I'm pretty sure that that something was iTunes 9.2 and/or 10.6.4

Apple's suggested solution of deleting Plists, removing iTunes and downloading again is unacceptable. I'm sure I have some outdated apps but whether I want to remove them is another matter if I've paid for them. I suppose I can uncheck them so they aren't synced to my iPod/iPad.

Anyway, come on Apple, please get this sorted out soon as we should not have to be removing paid apps just because your software has changed.

A discussion just opened up on reddit.com about this issue, so perhaps it is reaching critical mass. One can hope. A reader offered this link which shows, unfortunately, that this problem predates both 10.6.4 and iTunes 9.2, but it offers a new way of deleting/re-adding apps so that you don't lose your personal data that's already on your iPhone.

I've found that in list view, adding "Date Added" and "Date Modified" and then finding ones which haven't ben modified in some time lessens the search pain. I've found 1 no longer available - the remarkably handy and paid for 'Trains' app which I use all the time. I can't find a replacement that's so elegantly simple at the moment - I may have to write it!

Sigh.

This workaround did the trick for me. I quit, started again, and was able to update. Thanks for the tip. Now I can wait for Apple to fix this bug.

Same problem here and I am absolutely NOT going to resolve the issue with the workaround of erasing apps no longer in the store. I have tons of apps and aside from combing through them I like seeing all my apps in iTunes even ones not on my device just so I know what I have if I want it back later for whatever reason. I should not have to erase apps to get rid of an erroneous error message.

Apple, start fixing this crap. Get it together over there!

I am getting this same exact error. I tried refreshing iTunes with my account information (i.e. I removed my account from it and re-added it) and it did not do anything.

This is incredibly frustrating considering that the "Download All Free Updates" button worked on earlier versions of iTunes. I am really hoping they correct this.

Appears iTunes 9.2.1 (released today) fixes the issue - just installed, updated 2 apps using the get all updates button and no errors. Let's hope it holds up!

Nevermind. Had 2 apps to update today - failed this time. Seems to like it the first time iTunes is installed/updated, but after that it reverts back to displaying the "outdated" error.
