easy way to delete all photos from the iPhone?

Howdy, was wondering if anyone knew of a really simple way of deleting the photos from the iPhone.
I am suffering from the multiple files in my photos folder, so I have many labeled from 100 to about 112.
Im getting the iPhone 4 - sched delivery on the 24th, so Im trying to get my data and everything ready for it. I dont want to do a fresh install because then Ill loose my game save information.
So, anyone know how to clean up those photo folders? Cant right click on them and delete them. I guess I could do that to all the photos, but the folders still remain. I dont want them (the folders) transferred over to the new phone.
Im running Windows 7 on the pc I synch up to.

PC, Windows Vista

Sorry, I should have specified. These are photos in the camera roll, not those that you synch with iTunes.
I have copied them all over to my computer so no fear in losing anything, but my larger concern are the stuck empty folders on the iPhone. Those cant be deleted. Id like to be rid of them before the new iphone comes so I can synch and not have those phantom folders come over to the new phone.
I want the new iPhone to be a nice and clean install, but do want my game save information on there (I finished Angry Birds, waiting for the update now, dont want to lose that!!!)
Thanks for the prior information though and your response!

Thanks guys! Yeah, apparently I have folders under the DCIM folder that are listed as 100apple through 116apple. Some contain photos that I can copy and paste out, but when I want to get rid of the actual folder named 1xxAPPLE, it says it cant be deleted and just stays on the iPhone even if its empty.
Tried looking around the forums and others have this issue, but nothing really easy to get rid of it, at least without losing my game saves.
The preverbial rock and a hard place.

I always thought these were default folders? They appear no matter what?

I no longer use my iPhone with a Windows computer, and don't have to go through this process any longer. My iPhoto application on my Mac takes care of this for me, so I never have to look through folders to find my photos from my iPhone.

All I can recommend is that you try a re-sync once you have deleted ALL photos from your iPhone?
