iOS 4 - problem with Exchange Calendar

Read this and tell me if those having that issue are on MS exchange 2003 or higher.
It looks like the issue comes from a compatibility issue b/w iOS4 and MSE 2003.

my issue exists with Exchange Server 2007 with OWA, so not confined to just 2003 servers.

The issue is NOT limited to exchange 2003. We have in production UAG 2010 publishing activesync links and exchange 2010 backend. Does not work. Can receive, but not send. I have some friends that tested this in the beta and they had the same problems late last month and I find it odd that apple never addressed this.

I have the same issue: Exchange 2007, ActiveSync, Rollup 4 = blank main calendar. Calendar folders work fine. Totally aggravating.

Deleting and re-adding does not fix the issue.

I solved the problem for me as follows:

(Thanks to user "kg4awg" for the detailed description, that was the key information!)

1) Delete the account
2) Enter the Information again
3) Leave the "Domain" Field empty
4) Insert username the following way: Domain\User

iOS converted the domain information into the right field, but uses it correctly to send out the mail adress.
Now everything syncy fine and works. (For me!)

Please let me know if this helps. (I have no second iPhone around to test.)

This did not fix it for me: it just populates the domain into the domain field after you attempt to put it in the username field.

Hmm, tried it on my touch and does the same thing as before like the other person responded. At least my information helped someone 😀. It seems like right in the middle of accessing the exchange server its switching things, so you get some but not all. Gonna experiment turning some of the sync options on/off and see if its just 1 that is triggering it.

Didn't work for me. After I follow your instructions, I noted that the domain field repopulates on its own and I still cannot get my calendar.

The more I mess with it the worse its behaving. Just went in to turn off gmail contacts and hit the back button and it took it about 40-50 seconds just to go back a screen when its usually instant. Same problem poping up in other places too. grr. Event tried deleting gmail exchange and no go. Another thing I notice, is the calender events that are missing are the ones scheduled for dates after I made the iOS4 update. It shows my two meetings from yesterday, which after them I did the update, but doesn't show my meeting for today.

It did NOT work for me as well...still no calendar. Did you also notice that your exchange calendar name on the calendar list does not have the descrption you gave to it in the settings...before it was the case. Now it is just called....Calendar. OS4 is pathetic.

Same issue here; Exchange contacts and mail appear to be working correctly. Calendar is blank!

Solution(s) above did not resolve the problem for me either.

I do hope a solution is rolled out soon; this is not a good scenario.

On Macrumor forum, someone solved his issue by doing a hard restore...restore iPhone as new...of course all sms, games scores and various app data are lost but exchange calendar works now.
Anyone tried? Maybe I will...if it does not solve the issue I will restore from my previous back up...

Reboot of our Exchange Server (2003) seems to have fixed things.

I have exactly the same problem - existing calendar appointments are not copied over after the upgrade. email and contacts are fine. is there a solution yet?

Exchange is not working for me either after the upgrade to iOS4. It would be great to get to hear from Apple on this.
