Passcode Expired message

I installed the new iOS4 today, and immediately got a message that my passcode has expired and to enter a new one. I do that, and it accepts the passcode, but everytime I hit the "home" button, I get the "passcode expired" message and have to do it all over again. The settings will not allow me to turn off the passcode. Help.

This post that was under another question solved my problem:

"I run an Lotus Traveler server which syncs Lotus Notes on to the iPhone via the Exchange ActivSync transport and I am seeing the same issue. Nothing to do with Google.

The profile for our iPhones is created using the Apple iPhone Configuration Utility and it seems where I have clearly set the auto-lock setting to 'never'. When i look in the XML file that the utility produces it says that it is set to 60 minutes, which isn't exactly 'never' but I think it's good enough. When this profile is loaded onto the phone, the Auto-Lock setting becomes grayed out and set to 1 minute. Buuuuuuut.......... If I use the Iphone Config. Util. and set the Auto lock to one of the other options (1 to 5 minutes) then the setting works as intended. So if I have set it to 5 minutes then it DOES NOT become gray on the iPhone and can be change to anything from 1 to 5 minutes (but not never).

I would say that that this is a bug in iOS4 tht is misinterpreting 'never' setting and nothing to do with a setting on the remote end."
