iPhone 3GS reboots during your phone call after updating to OS4

I have a major problem with the OS4 update on the iPhone 3GS. After I updated my iPhone 3GS, I can no longer make telephones calls longer then 10 - 15 minutes. After 10 -15 minutes the phone cuts out and I see an Apple symbol. After it's rebooted, I can make another telephone call but the iPhone reboots consistently again after 10 – 15 minutes. Can anyone help with this? Where on apples website can I submit this problem?

I have also noticed that the iPhone now heats up more quickly and the battery consumption is eaten rapidly. How do I fix this?

And before you ask, this never happened before in the previous OS3.

hi, I, like ther rest of u have the same problem, but i wrekon i have a solution

I have tried everything, and i mean everything. i booked an appointment at the apple store for next week to have my iphone replaced, or have it looked at again. this was after a new battery etc. i gave up on my iphone, as i wanted to make a couple of long calls. so i put my vodafone sim in my sony ericsson. i made to long calls. and during them, the phone cut out 3 times! i emailed vodafone, and they said this can be a fault with some sims! so i recomend you experiment with another sim!

I have now been to the apple shop so many times, that this time i lost it!

I have had a couple of solutions, the sim worked for me, but then it started happening again.

So I said to the guy at apple, that the problem started happening when my phone was in warrenty, which i am not sure that it did, but it was worth a trie. For the first 30minutes he wanted me to pay £140 for a new iphone, but after lots of complaining, he gave me a replacment one for £55!!! so if ur problem started wall in warenty, I think u have a chance of getting a new one cheaply, worth a trie, worked for me, all my problems are gone, i think my phone was a couple of years old, and I still got it!

good luck! 🙂

Pages and pages I see with this problem, because unfortunately I encountered it myself too. No suggested solution offered any relief UNTIL I FOUND ONE MYSELF. It is not THE solution, because that one we expect from Apple itself (btw very disappounting that Apple doesn't respond or give a good advice on this!!! Got me to the point of wanting to go back to my Nokia again!!!!)

But anyway... at one point it occured to me that the problem only happened at home... where my iPhone uses WIFI.

I turned of WIFI in settings and PROBLEM IS GONE.

Well, I understand this is not a complete solution, but I can still turn WIFI on if I am downloading or something. But at least I don't have my calls interrupted anymore.

I hope some people can use this tip, although I still think Apple should adress this in the next update.

Kind regards to you all!
