iPad WiFi Disconnect Issue

I can connect my new iPad to my wiFi router (Actiontec) but after several minutes connection is lost. I need to re-sign in. I worked with Verizon to reset router per Apple instructions (kb/T53304) but nothing helped. Switching from WEP to WPA or WPA2 was useless. Apple folks, please develop a fix!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Here's a twist on the IPad Wi-Fi drop out trick. If I restart my Intel i3 desktop PC (EnGenius 802.11n Wireless USB Adapter), that operation will kick the IPad off Wi-Fi. Netgear router, WPA. I think transmitting b and n, I know, bad.

Same ipad wifi drop problem here- don't waste your time with changing settings, I've been told it's a firmware bug that causes the wifi transmitter to run hot and drop, but who really knows. I've probably tried over 50 different tweaks, even though my connection was perfect until the minute I upgraded to 5.0.1.
