UPDATE FROM FEDEX TRACKING:
7:51AM On Fed Ex truck for delivery
8:50AM Delivery Exception and under details it states: Future Delivery Requested
(I Am in NYC)

Dont know why they would this but I will be calling Fed Ex and will post an update.

The tracking info is lagging badly, so I wouldn't fret it.

Mine's been saying it's in LA since 2:00 AM, then just a few moments ago around 12:00 PM, it updated to show that it was in Hawthorne at 4:00 AM... looks like it's about 8 hours behind.

yeah i seen him drop off a envelope and he left right back out.i was getting excited cause his truck said express but i know UPS does this but wasn't sure if fed ex does it.if i was on the military base i bet i'd have it already but we've moved out in town and you see both them and UPS come through sporadically.thanks for being hopeful for me.

my fedex tracking site just updated and says that it has been on the delivery truck since 7 this morning (central time, so it is now 2:30). could it really take this long to get to my house?

Just spoke to Fed Ex and they said that the sender has blocked the shipment from coming in today thats why it cant be picked up... So thanks for getting my hopes up Apple =/ lol.

Yeah, i know it's lagging really bad, but for FedEX not to know where a package is really doesn't give me faith. However, tracking through simpletracking.com seems to coincide with what Fedex has in their system and is more up-to-date than their own site. It just updated again that it arrived in San Diego this morning at 7:01. I am starting to have hope that it will arrive today.

If it helps, I wouldn't worry too much. Fedex tracking on overnight and next-day packages seems to be pretty bad. In my experience, I usually get them when they're not even out of delivery according to the tracking page. I'd call their office and they'd tell me "sorry, tracking says blah blah blah" and then the door bell rings with my goodies. 🙂

Just received mine and tracking still shows at destination facility

fedex has this message on their website:

IMPORTANT!
Package deliveries are proceeding as normal; however tracking updates are temporarily being delayed. Please try back later.

I received mine before the estimated delivery this morning. But the tracking was still showing it was in Memphis.

FedEx site had the estimated delivery to be done today at 3 PM - got the phone delivered to my home at 2 PM!!

You can sign a release form so they'll leave it at your door. If you ordered from Apple a link is on your order page. Not sure where to find it otherwise.

Just got a call from my PakMail location i use to receive shipments and they just received it. I guess a lot of worrying for nothing 🙂
