I am having the same problem. When I try to sync a book that's in my itunes library to both my ipad 2 and my iphone 5, I get a message that I cannot connect to the itunes store. Yet, when I click the 'store' button in the upper left corner, the itunes store appears with its revolving highlighted selections of books to purchase. I have tried to sync when I am obviously connected to the store and the message appears even when the store appears in the background. I have a 64 gb ipad and a 32 gb iphone 5 and both have at least half of the memory available accordingly to the strip at the bottom of each device in itunes. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks

Hello,

Now my problem it is FIXED.

I did same thing that RobBritton did.

I went to my router configuration and I edited the DNS primary and secondary using Google DNS, which I believed it's open (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4).

I left my router reset, then I reconnected and finally WOW, IT WORKED!

It seems that there are some problems with the DNS that it's preventing some applications, including AppStore to work.

Please try this one, but in your router, but just for security back up your DNS information in case something goes wrong.

I hope this works as it worked for me. Have a nice weekend.

Cheers!

Maybe the server IS green, but clearly with so many people having simultaneous issues, something has happened here. I work on the call floor for an ISP, we've been getting a spike in iTunes connection issues. It seems as if the server is online and viewable, I can listen to music previews and such, but downloading something or making a purchase won't work. Looks like the issue is with logging in to the iTunes server. I logged out on my iPad and have not been able to log back in since. That tracks with the downloading issues as usually it asks me to put my password in when I buy a song, but it would just go to "waiting" then "Can not connect to iTunes". Anything requiring a log-in seems to fail, but yes, the server itself is green.
