Another device using my IP address-who?

I suspect it may have something to do with my iPad, as it's happened only since I purchased one-a wifi version. When I restart, I keep getting a message that "Another device on the network is using your computer's IP address. The thing is, it's not the IP address shown in SysPrefs/Network, nor is it the one on my wife's iMac or my MacBook Pro. Is this something to be concerned about?

An Apple Care rep finally fixed this problem for me. Turns out that my AE was in Bridge mode. In fact, my ATT Uverse modem was handing out the IP addresses and the AE was just passing them through. That's why restarting AE, etc., didn't fix the problem.

Under the "Internet" section, I changed 'connection sharing' from bridge mode to "Share a public IP address." In the DHCP tab, I changed DHCP Beginning Address to 10.0 in the pull-down menu.

After the restart, there is an expected 'double NAT' error, but if you check that as OK, it all starts to work as expected.

Now technically, I'm told that the ATT router should now be put in bridge mode, otherwise I get this double NAT error, but I'm not getting into that tonight. Everything is working, and that's enough for me.

Hope this helps. I know a lot of us have a modem from our ISP that we plug the AE into. The other work around is to power off the ISP's modem for a minute, along with all other devices, and then start them back up again, starting from the modem.
