Can not sync apps after installing OS 4 on iPhone 3G

OS 4 was installed but all my apps will not sync up. I keep getting error messages "0xE8003FFE". I've tried resetting warnings and deauthorized and authorized my pc and it still won't work. What can I do?

I want to thank everyone for posting to try and get issues resolved. I have 3 ipod touch and 2 out of the 3 I'm having issues with. I downloaded the os4 and then it acted like the apps were being installed. After it was complete I had the error code 0xE8003FFE. I tried everything suggested (deauth, reauth, delete apps, reinstall apps, etc) and still got the same error code. I've now set up as new ipods and the apps are fine....try this before calling apple...they don't seem to care right now anyway...hope this helps someone.

I ran into this issue today after trying to fix my battery life issue by doing a system restore... I ended up just wiping the device and reinstalling everything as if it was a new device. My 3GS seems to have a severe limit on how many applications I can sync now. I know I probably have way too many anyway, but I can barely put 4 pages of Apps on it before it simply stops accepting new apps. All the apps I am trying to put back on it were on it before I did the restore, so I know they are compatible with the new version. I tried restarting iTunes, deauthorizing/reauthorizing, and restarting my computer (Windows 7 running in BootCamp on a MacBook). I never set any restrictions, so the solution that seems to have worked for others will not work for me.

I got the same error message after updating to iOS4 on my iPhone 3GS. I tried restoring to factory settings, deauthorizing, etc. but to no avail.

THIS WORKED (I got it from a similar thread): On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Restrictions and make sure that iTunes and Installing Apps are "ON". I was able to sync smoothly after that.

Hope this works for you to cuz it was a huge pain in the ***.
