Can not sync apps after installing OS 4 on iPhone 3G

OS 4 was installed but all my apps will not sync up. I keep getting error messages "0xE8003FFE". I've tried resetting warnings and deauthorized and authorized my pc and it still won't work. What can I do?

I also have this problem. I have a 3Gs 32GB. I was syncing between two computers (Home & work). Then after updating to OS4, half of my apps have been uninstalled from my iPhone. A few of them can been seen as 'installable' in iTunes, but when I try to sync, I get the same problem. I have deauthorized and authorized both my pcs, but nothing seems to work.

Please help...

Had the same problem, but fixed it. Deauthorised and then authorised in iTunes, but with my iPhone highlighted in the left hand menu bar. Now works, so I'm guessing that by doing this it's performing the authorisation on the iPhone, rather than the computer running iTunes

I just tried to sync my iPod Touch after updating to version 4.0 and had the same error messages when trying to sync my apps. Can anyone help???

After installing new Op system to iTunes (phone was attached at time)...after software download, phone will not reinstall anything...just left with the black screen with the silver apple...phone attempts to reboot and only reaches approx 25% completion before disconnecting and dissappearing from iTunes screen...any ideas?

I too have the problem. Brand new 3G Touch, iMac 10.6.4, iTunes 9.2.
I had installed a bunch of apps, they worked.
Then I tried to add more. Tried unauthorize/sync/reauthorize, no luck.
Tried reset, reinstall iOS4. No luck. tried reauthorize again, no luck.
grrr.

Had the same problem after upgrading. Resolved by restoring back to factory, restore backup settings, and re-assigning apps to be installed. All apps installed fine, and things back to norm.

when you turned off the "app store" icon at the main screen in 3.1.3. turn it back on (settings- restrictions) this icon turned from ios 3.1.3 "app store" in ios4 in "app installation"
when you turn it back on...you should be able to synchronize your apps again.

I am also encountering this problem, I've tried reauthorizing and deauthorizing, restoring several times, of which none helped the issue of error 0xE8003FFE, contact the customer support twice which none responded to my issue within 24 hours. I need help with this 😟

if you turned off the "App Store" icon on the mainscreen in OS 3.1.3 of your iphone 3gs (Settings ->General -> Restrictions) turn it back on in iOS4. The name of this icon changed to "App Installation". So if you turned it off in OS 3.1.3 you are not able in iOS4 to install any of your apps. It took me a while to find out, but now everthing is working again.

Hey thanks Mcrenzen - your 2nd explanation was easy to follow and the main thing is that it worked!! I would never have thought of doing that and I was on the verge of looking for something else as a replacement. I had been mucking around with this for two days ... ever since updating to iOS4.
