My sister and I both have new iPhone 4s. Neither of us can find a FaceTime icon in Contacts to even attempt a video call. Both of us are on WiFi? What on earth could be going on?
Make the call like a normal voice call, pull the phone away from your face, and there will be an icon on the screen when in the call, like using the keypad, or merging a call. Push that and you should be all set!
OK -- so, now that we turned it on in Settings, we both have an icon. However, when I press the button, my camera turns on but she doesn't get an invite. She she presses the button, it says FaceTime unavailable. We both had a full signal. Excellent.
Where in settings did you turn it on? I can't get the icon to show up on my phone or my mothers phone. We are both connected to wifi, but we don't see facetime icon or the camera icon. When I call her, I see the hold button.
Exactly what did you do to get the icons to show up? Anyone else know where to find the facetime settings?
thanks
Ethan
Just to resolve this, we figured it out. Somehow, SMS was turned off on my sister's phone. She called AT&T, they turned it back on, and FaceTiming commenced.
