Since upgrade to iOS4 Safari does not remember passwords

Since I've updated my 3GS to iOS4 via ITunes, Mobile Safari keeps asking to save username and passwords, even if I've visited the site before and said "Yes" to save username and password, at the next visit, Safari doesn't remember and I have to enter the details again.

I've already cleared Cache, History and Cookies, turned off and on the auto-fill option, but the problem persists.

Anyone got an idea ?

I have this too. Very annoying. Should be easily and quickly fixed!

Same here, I use TVCatchup and it makes me login anew every time, also the Edinburgh University site, and my own email I have to logon over and over and over and over (*expletive deleted*) over.

iOS 4.1 has been in beta for quite some time now. Does anyone out there know if this has been addressed?

4.1 is out now. Did that fix the issue on the 3GS?

Nope. I have ios 4.1 and I'm still being asked for login info onto my client's wifi.

Nope, not fixed in 4.1.

I've never had problems with it remembering the password for regular web sites, but it still doesn't remember the password for the WiFi authentication page on my university campus (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11790572#11790572).

The issue I was having with WiFi authentication pages appears to have been fixed by the iOS 4.2.1 release. See http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2484150.

Perhaps the other password remembering problems that people were having are also fixed?
