I found a fix. Go to Settings and click on iTunes & App Stores,

then click your Apple ID and sign out, after go back to settings

and reset all settings. After the reset go back into Settings and

click on iTunes & App Stores, sign in and then it should work.

    Goodluck

    Hello Everyone.

This is a very simple fix. If you are at an airport, or a hotel and cannot get into the app store,

    go to your settings

go to wifi, choose a network

click the blue arrow beside the network you are connected too

go Down to DNS. delete all of the numbers in there and enter 8.8.4.4

go to search domain and change it to google.com

    This will fix your issues.

Thank you "GamblingJames" for your info/help. This fixed the issue/error message "cannot connect to iTunes store" I kept getting when attempting to open the App Store app on my iPhone 4, running iOS 6.

    Your help is much appreciated!

    Regards

Hi, none of my apple devices would connect to the store, very annoying, after hours of trying and advice with no luck, I just went to my old trusted laptop and it worked though windows in minutes.  This is a major problem and needs sorting asap.

Certainly is a major problem.  I have just spent 2 hours trying all of the suggestions listed, and none worked.  So I changed my iTunes account password and .... It worked!!

Different solutions work for different people it seems.  But needs a general fix.

Thank you Paulo! I have changed the time about 10 times, reset my password, logged in and out again - basically tried every single suggestion that people had BUT I had a new bank card (so the expiry date/CVC code were out of date) so I've updated it and it all works

I am very happy after weeks of frustration - I got a new card ages ago but it's never prompted me to update my details. Your solution works perfectly

Two things to try.  Please reply with what works.

1: Turn on Airplane mode, then turn it off again.  This resets internet related settings.

    Does it work?

2:  Changing the DNS in Setting, Wi-Fi, DHCP tab, DNS , replace with 8.8.8.8 (Google) or 8.8.4.4 (Google)

    Does it work?

What I did and it worked was to do the following steps:

    1.   Go to SETTINGS

    2.   Click iTUNES & APP STORE

    3.   Click your APPLE ID

    4.   Click SIGN OUT

    5.   Go to SETTINGS

    6.   Click GENERAL

    7.   Click RESET

    8.   Click RESET ALL SETTINGS

    9.   Go to SETTINGS

    10. Click iTUNES & APP STORE

    11. Click your APPLE ID

    12. Click SIGN IN

This is what I did and it worked for me. Goodluck

When you reset your settings none of your personal stuffs like contacts, photos or even songs nothing will get lost it only changes your phone to factory settings. But befor doing restore pls try like this.

    1. Connect your iphone, ipad or ipod with itunes through you pc.

    2. Click Store --- View my account- log in

    3. Update your bank details and all other personal details properly specially your bank card details should be         match with your home adress. Dont worry untill purchasing anything you wont get charge its just registering your card details.

4.Scroll down and on Settings you can see "Reset all warnings for buying and download."  Please press RESET.

And wait for this process to get done after that sync your iphone, ipad or ipod again through itunes and disconnect it from the pc.
