3G data speed on iPhone 4 is painfully slow

Is anyone experiencing a real slowness in the 3G data speed on the iPhone 4? I had a friend race me to a website with a 3GS, and hers blew mine away. I'm even getting some disconnects when I try to hit a webpage... my friends with 3G's and 3GS's are fine...

Maybe my entire neighborhood is in a 3G data ditch of some kind with signals blocked by surrounding 3 story houses? But the carrier signal is showing 5 bar strength throughout my house.

Is it possible for the 3G data to be slowed down by a weak signal that isn't reflected in the carrier bars?

The reason I ask is that I tested up on the 3rd floor of my house. It's the same 5 bar there, but a 3G speednet.net test shows I'm getting 2.23 Mbps download and 0.97 Mbps upload. Still not near the maximum rating, but definitely tolerable.

Call it better, faster and even more worldly.

iPhone 4S is the first phone to intelligently switch between two antennas to transmit and receive, so call quality is better. It also doubles the maximum HSDPA data speeds to 14.4 Mbps.8 Which means faster connections, faster loading and reloading, and faster downloads.

My speed tests come back at under 500k a time NOWHERE NEAR 14.4Mbps!

Do these even get looked at?

So.ya..i to also noticed my slow speed as well and on day I received a automated text from AT&T sat I was useing way to much data( iam grandfathered in already for unlimited data,) so I called and yes they put a data cap on me for a month ( being punished) lol, slower speed, ) the network giant strikes again, so yes we have unlimited data but loophole is that they have the right to adjust speeds

I have an iPhone 4 and it's also extremely slow. It took me 3 hours to update the facebook app using my 3g data. Apps crash all the time and many websites won't open. My old phone was a Motorola X and it was nearly twice as fast, a third the price, and overall better at everything (except the camera) and I hear it's not even a very good phone compared to most. Just saying...
