iPhone 4 + iMovie = Crashes the iMovie App and does not export...

Hello fellow Apple Customers,

I recently purchased iMovie for the iPhone 4 and I am having some issues I can't seem to resolve. When I try to export a project to either Medium 360p, Large or HD 720P the application starts exporting but the exporting bar just freeze and then the iMovie application crashes, sometimes it even reboots the iPhone.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? I noticed that this happens if the project is longer than 43 seconds, if the project is less then 43 seconds then it successfully exports my projects into my camera roll but if the project is longer than 43 seconds it does not and even causes the app. to crash.

I am dissapointed in the performance of the iMovie on the iPhone 4, everything else works flawlessly with the iPhone.

THIS APP IS CRAP!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FROM AN APPLE APPLICATION! When is apple going to push an update of the horrible application so we can export more than a 50 second video clip? I have a 3:15 clip that I want to export to 720p. It crashes every single time!! COME ON APPLE! Get you dung together!

I've tried everything. I have had it work on a 1:19 video and a :45 video. But now I'm trying to do a 2:50 and it's choking just like you guys are saying. I've tried different music, etc. Even tried the built-in theme music. Not working. This stinks. I was all excited cause I made a sweet video. Apple didn't say there was a limit on the length of the video. I hope they update it soon.

This is really crazy guys, I have a 3:03:4 long movie, and are able to export it, nice or? No! My real one, the other is just a test one, but my real movieclip is about 4:40 and one is about 5:03 long ... Not to export ...

Dear Mr Jobs,

I don't care about a firmwareupdate just for the connection issue. Please include something for us as well, as this topic was one of the major features for me to buy the iPhone 4 ...

I am on vacation at the childrens museum in Indy.
Took lots of pics and video.
Spent 45-60 minutes last night compiling an awesome video.
Very impressed with the capabilities and ease of use.

First problem, theme music does not repeat? It just stops after a couple minutes in my 5 min video.

Second problem, can't export. Tried everything. The first time I tried it locked the app. I held down the home button to kill the app and it reset the phone. Every time since then the app crashes and exits back to my home screen when I try to export.

Want to YouTube and link to family to WOW tgem and nothing

Waiting patiently for updates.

You mention one problem with the app, which does seem pretty prevalent, though that doesn't warrant calling the app as a whole crap. It is pretty amazing to be able to do all of the things that you can with this app on your iPhone4. I was able after a few attempts to export a 720p video that is 9 minutes long with pictures, transitions, a theme, and custom music which consisted of three songs stitched together. I am trying now to export the same movie without the music, but haven't been able to do so yet.

I've had mixed luck with the video exporting( see my reply to 'newmacs' earlier today) but i do have a workaround to your audio problem. If you have a mac, you can use GarageBand to stitch together multiple songs or stitch together the same song for a repeat affect. You can also fade in and out between songs. Then you just add it to your iTunes library and then add it to your iPhone. It will then show up as a normal song. If you are on Windows, I'm sure there are programs that can do similar things.
