On screen keyboard

There is a Go button.

Otherwise just touch the screen above the keyboard, on the web page.

press RETURN or
OK or
whatever button you see on your lower right hand side.
that should work. if not then fail on the devs teams part.

As the OP said it is the phone number pad that he is presented with, which does not have a return or enter key.

Not sure how to get past this point, maybe someone else will have a reply for you later, good luck.

Have a look at the notes in the App Store for the Nat West App. Right at the top of the page.

They say there is a problem with their software under iOS 4, specifically the keypad.

It says they will let us know as soon as it is fixed, guess you need to keep checking the notes.

Did you find a solution for the problem? I've got exactly the same problem and don't know how what to do?

One of the several features of the Blackberry Storm that I miss on the iPhone is the ability to swipe down the screen to hide the keyboard at any time (and swipe up to bring it back). Also the inability in many screens to swap to landscape is frustrating and get a bigger keyboard.

Yes, I hear you. Just another inept 'head scratching' iPhone idiosyncrasy.

I come from Android and there is several options to make the on-screen keyboard disappear. Not having such on the iPhone is as inept as how long it took Apple to finally add multitasking or apps folders.

I am on iOS 4/iPhone 4 and whenever I am in the Apps store, the keyboard appears and stays on screen no matter what I do! Even a iPhone power cycle doesn't fix this!

I cannot speak for the original poster but in my case, it is Apple's very own app store where my on-screen keyboard won't go away. It all started after I had rated/reviewed an app I purchased. Even after several power cycles, it is still there. So now, I can only see 3 apps at a time when in the app store.

Sure, I will go ahead with your advice and delete the Apps store. Great idea!

Clearly, not having a soft or hard option to close the on-screen keyboard is an inherent design flaw!

I was having the same problem as you: the touch screen keyboard not retracting when in the App Store. I saw that you or someone else on this thread said something about it being after writing a review and I remembered I had written a few recently. So I went into the App Store and went like I was going write another review but hit cancel. This solved the problem and the keyboard retracted.

Excellent Advice. I was exasperated that the keyboard would not retract. I found your post and solved my problem in a fraction of a second.
