My iphone 4G works perfectly!

I just wanted to offset some of the complaints on this board so people who are nervous about the phone will know it is a good buy. I haven't had any issues at all with my phone. No yellow screen, no reduced reception (i am using the black bumper) and no problems with the camera shutter or email operations. All my functions work perfectly, speakerphone is loud, headphones are clear, and the battery life is great. I guess my question would be am I the only person who has never had any problems with an iphone? Because this forum makes it seem like they are guaranteed to have issues when they usually dont. Just sayin...

Add me to the "Love it" camp. Got it Thursday night, and after awhile got everything migrated from my iPhone "1.0" to the iPhone4. Then came here to the forums to read the latest buzz. I have tried repeatedly, to replicate the signal/antenna problem. (I just found this particular thread, and as I started to read the first post, I held the phone in my left hand, so the black seam was pressed into my palm completely---I held it that way while I read every post in this thread...easily 3 minutes of holding the phone, and it didn't lose a bar of signal.)
In my home I'm at 5 bars consistently---I will have to try the black seam/palm holding again, when I get somewhere that traditionally doesn't have 5-bar strength to begin with. But I'm happy to report no signal issues here (so far, anyway!)
(While I love the new phone, I've uncovered one teensy problem so far; I cannot seem to open my AOL webmail inbox, by accessing AOL webmail via Safari---not trying it via the iPhone's Mail app. It gets all the way to the inbox, but never comes up "No messages" or shows me if I have a message---just a spinning wheel as if it is trying to access...)

I have to travel out of state soon, and I'll be curious to see if I maintain signal strength... perhaps I just live in a strong-enough signal area, that the problem doesn't manifest itself.
(And, regarding my AOL webmail issue in my earlier post, turns out the address I was using in Safari isn't supported by AOL for iOS4 yet---so their "basic" webmail address works instead.)

I have to say, the only issue I had was with the bumper and that's only because it collects lint around the edge haha (so I don't use it much). The antenna issue cannot be replicated for me (without bumper), and no spots on the screen. I have owned the 1st gen, 3G, and now the 4, and I have gotten them all first day of release, and haven't had issues. It is unfortunate that so many have had problems, however, every experience I have had under warranty has been great. I'm sure all will be good in the world of iPhone soon enough.

The reason you don't see people posting about how great it is is because people just come here looking for help with their problems, to rant or to help people that are having problems. When you consider the number of iPhones that have been sold compared to the small number of people posting about problems, obviously more people are happy than not. I was happy with my original iPhone and have been happy with my 3G. Planning on getting a 4 when I can.

Peachy hear as well, my internet upload speed is super fast compared to the 3Gs. As far as the reception yeah if I cover that left bottom corner for 2 minutes or more, the bars go down but no dropped calls at all. Everything is super cool, this was a major upgrade to me. I really do not see a reason for concern at all like i have been seeing. I love the design of the phone, the glass finish is great, the camera system is second to none on a mobile phone, the sound quality is great, the speed is great, syncing is a lot faster than usual, wifi signal is great. Everywhere I go, everyone who see's me with it always asks to see it and they always say it looks stunning. I would actually be of if it was a larger screen. The screen is amazing as it is and the text really pops...iBooks looks great, I haven't put this thing down yet!

My phone did not have the issue from start, not a dodgy screen, I was dreading it ariving, I can hold it anyway I want and it works fine, with or without a bumper, I have no idea what makes mine and the other folks here different, sorry to here about your issues, I had troubles with the 27" iMac, but there are some of us doing fine with the handset, maybe we just don't conduct that well?

Maybe you are dead and you have nothing flowing through your veins :-O

Wow harsh words, but anyway I really think the reception thing is a none issue for the majority. This will not slow sales because it's nothing Apple did wrong, it's not like you have to buy the phone anyway. It's like a kid picking at a soar when they see it. We are grown and nothing is perfect....Anyone know where to see a tutorial on mobile iMove?

Hey Davis Boy,

With all due respect this issue is being WIDELY reported for THOUSANDS on the BBC, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, NBC Nightly News and every major newspaper and blog.

This is not a limited problem, my friend. This is a HUGE issue for our beloved Apple (I've been a fanboy since the 80s).

This is a VERY troubling development that needs a fix. But more than that, we need some reassurances from the company. My phone is a brick when held. Same for MANY others. Cheers.

I'm not, its shame this is happening, and I for one want to know why some are fine and others not, its a lottery I would not want to get involved with now, I had my 21" iMac upgraded to a 27" it was such a state when it arrived I stuck with the 21" as I was informed Apple could not guarantee they could get a better unit to me! This iMac had black smudges scratches on LCD and loads of worker fingerprints on the LCD as well I was gutted and Apple would not budge. I hope Apple come up with a way of sorting this out for the users with issues, I would be gutted, and buying one for my wife seems to risky now, when you cant bye a handset for fear or it not working as intended I agree something has to be done, and fast.

My iphone 4G works perfectly!
