My iphone 4G works perfectly!

I just wanted to offset some of the complaints on this board so people who are nervous about the phone will know it is a good buy. I haven't had any issues at all with my phone. No yellow screen, no reduced reception (i am using the black bumper) and no problems with the camera shutter or email operations. All my functions work perfectly, speakerphone is loud, headphones are clear, and the battery life is great. I guess my question would be am I the only person who has never had any problems with an iphone? Because this forum makes it seem like they are guaranteed to have issues when they usually dont. Just sayin...

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iPhone 4G

Dude seriously I talk on my phone all day for the last two days and I have no reception problems at all. I hold it left hand, right hand, speaker phone and all with no problems. I do see the videos of people having the problem but it's only why they purposely put the fingers on the bottom left corner for the purpose of the demonstration. Seriously it's none issue like Jobs said for me at lease! Stop crying about it, if you don't want your device, go take it back, I'm pretty sure someone will have it in less than 5 minutes after you return it. The only way that could be fixed in my opinion is to have it covered up, but I don't want mine covered because it takes away from the look of the phone. SO DEAL WITH IT OR GO BUY AN ANDROID!

I'd love to agree but my iPhone 4 has two major issues:

1 - With a full battery and idle for any length of time my unit will power down and require a hard reset to power on, which is holding the power and home buttons for approx. 30 seconds. This has happened 5 times since I recieved the phone on the 23rd, that's more than once a day so far.

2 - My phone has went into "No Sim" 5 times. I have removed the micro sim, checked it for defects, none. I have to power/restart in order to get AT&T to display again and be able to make calls. I currently am not able to make calls and that is why I am on here, to look for a solution. I do have and appointment with Apple Monday and will replace it. Im hanging in there though, problem is I dont expect these issues to be resolved for all phones with a software patch.

Not trying to badger you or anything but yeah some have issues and some don't but do I think Apple knew about this (yes) I don't think they had time to remedy it once they found it out or maybe they knew all along and offered the bumper thingies which if used no one would have noticed it. Seriously though it is a none issue at all for me... Sorry for you guys but I'm good.....hope your problems get addressed!!!! APPLE GET ON YOUR JOB FOR THOSE WHO ARE HAVING ISSUES!!!!!!!!!

Your phone works, my phone works, but if we were the unlucky ones I know for one we would be not so positive to Apple or happy to say not all phone are effected, if you get all hyped up for a product and its a major show stopper bug like this you would be well unhappy, if mine had done it I would have packed it off and used my 3GS, having seen how slow Apple can be to do things, or admit issues I would be concerned to say the least, but more than likely angry.

Davis Boy. I'm not trying to be rude back to you, but this is an issue for an ENORMOUS number of people.

The bumpers/ cases are not a good solution for this. There is still attenuation of signal.

Davis Boy-- this is MAJOR INTERNATIONAL news-- not a spotty outage for a few. Please read more before posting "IN YOUR FACE" comments to those of us who are having terrible difficulties with our phones.

I've had every iPhone since day one... and A LOT of Apple products since the '80s. This is inexcusable.

Honestly I would have went to the Apple Store showed the problem and returned the phone and made sure I would got a new phone when they came in or if they had them their just get it exchanged... If problem persist then I would got my money back and waited until the problem was fixed if it could be fixed... End of conversation! Apple fans show love and they also ***** about any small detail myself included...

What would be your response if your were Apple at this moment? I've been around the Apple block for a long time as well so I understand your point in regards to expecting better, which I do as well. I am curios to know why some have the problem and some do not. Some guy stated because of heat from the touch, which makes no sense because I am in Tampa, Florida and it is almost hot as **** and I'm outside on a regular, so I will rule that out. I almost think Apple thought no one would have made a big fuss about this but as you say it can be a huge problem especially for people who do not have Apple history or just now converting. Google will have a fielday with this one!

My beloved iPhone works perfectly, no issues of any kind, really. Its both beautiful and functional, I have a zagg and bumper on it, just like I had protection on my previous iPhones, I liked them clothed. I feel kind of left out with no reception issues, in fact it's much better then ever, the places I used to lose people I don't any longer.

Unfortunately when I brought it to MIT and looked at the glass under an electron microscope, I noticed a slight imperfection. I will be starting a class action lawsuit shortly.

The reason you people aren't having reception/antenna problems is the fact you're close or in line of sight with a cell tower. By covering the bottom of the phone, you're still degrading the signal, but it's powerful enough in the area not to matter.

Those of us who live far from a tower or already get mediocre reception (even though it says 5 bars doesn't mean its at the best link) have to suffer.

No reception issues here either. Reception seems slightly better than it was with my iPhone 3G, just as the reviews said would be the case. The phone's fit and finish are flawless.

I have always noticed that AT&T's 3G signal strength has a bizarre habit of changing from, say five bars to one bar with no notice ... and that two iPhones in the exact same room, both flat on a table, can measure totally different signal strength. It's very frustrating, especially when other carriers' signals seem much more consistent.

I absolutely love my iPhone 4, it is a smartphone beast. I do experience the "death grip" issue though, and while I was disappointed in this turn of events, I went ahead and bought a gel-type cover for the back (the clear smoke colored one, got it at a kiosk at the mall) and I have not had any reception issues whatsoever since I put it in the case. Additionally, I find myself a lot more at ease handling it with the case, I'm not treating it so gingerly anymore, so, my experience has actually been improved by getting the case. I think it looks beautiful uncased and I do have a white bumper on order. I will most definitely try it out when I get it, but I like the case for general usage, something I normally didn't do on my other phones. And there is hope a firmware upgrade will fix the antenna issues, so I am very happy.

My iphone 4G works perfectly!
