Field Test Mode?

I can't seem to get field test mode to work with iOS 4. When I dial 3001#12345# and hit send nothing happens now. Anyone els noticing this feature not working?

MacBook Pro 17, iPhone 3G S 32gb, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

On Google: there's a way to get FieldTest back in full for iOS 4 but not without JB.

INCORRECT. You can get it by restoring from a previous iteration of the iPhone that had the field test enabled.

That is only ONE way. It is NOT NECESSARY to jailbreak to get the field test.

If you downgrade to 3.1.3 or 3.1.2, yes, you have FieldTest in "Full", I mean with all pages and menu, not just the RX level in db. Once you upgrade to iOS 4.0, FieldTest.app is no longer there, restore from backup can only change the key SBShowGSMRSSI value to "true" in com.apple.springboard.plist but you can't have the menu with MM info, UMTS Cell Environment, PDP Context List...GSM Cell Info...

Ah, gotcha'. Sorry for MY misunderstanding. Most people mention this because they want the dB meter instead of reception bars.
