Leather Case or Screen Protector

My IP4 is being delivered today and I have a decision to make on phone protection.

I was wondering on what peoples preference is between case or screen protectors

Currently I have a 3GS with no screen protection apart from a nice leather (Blackberry) style case.
The phone is always in the case when I am on the move.
When out of the case on my desk it even has a small cloth for it to rest on (Yes sad I know).
The phone has below average use I would say so not continuously being handled.
After six months of use and a screen wipe each day the phone is still as new condition

I am now thinking about moving towards a screen protector (Say the ZAGG one) and some sort of body case.
I know this will give me all out protection even when the phone is in use but I lose the looks 😟

So I guess I am torn between just a leather case or a screen protector + body case combo?

What do you guys use or suggest I go for to keep my new phone safe?
