Zagg invisible shield question

I have seen this shield for the iPhone 4 and it looks sweet. does anyone know how it feels, I heard that it feels real funny in your hands, which is making me wonder if i wana order it or not. I also have heard that installation is very hard and time consuming. If anyone is aware of this product can you please let me know.

I love it. I have used it on my 3G, 3GS, and now 4. The only thing I didn't like about the one for the 3G and 3GS was the fact that the corners would start to peel up over time. The front piece never came up and always looked great. With the iPhone 4, there are no corners to worry about. Because of the new design, you really can't see the shield. It feels a little sticky the first couple of days, but after that I forget it is on there. Putting it on isn't hard. Just make sure the area you're in has minimal dust. You don't want any dust getting in there.

The first thing I did when I bought my iPhone 4 was have one installed. My AT&T store insisted to install it. They said if they mess up they will keep doing it until I am satisfied. I installed my other ones but knowing they will keep doing it until it is perfect is nice. One thing to note. It won't look its best for about 2 or 3 days. It takes time for it to settle and there may be some bubbles that eventually work themselves out. Mine had a few bubbles the first day. By day 3 it looked perfect, like nothing at all.

Whatever your phone looks like when you put it on is what it will look like when you take it off. I got a 3G on launch day 2 years ago and had one put on. I gave it to my brother when I got a 3GS last year. He was rough with it. He does AC repair and throws it around with his tools. It had all kinds of scuffs, dents, and marks. I had a feeling some of them went through to the phone. I just knew there would be some marks. We took it off after 2 years and there wasn't a single mark on the screen. It looked like the day I bought it 2 years ago. I was astounded. I wiped the whole phone down and gave it to my mom to use as an iPod. She wants a new invisible shield applied to it now. Also, you have to be pretty rough with it to cause any marks. I just gave my brother my 3GS and after a year of my normal use, there isn't a single mark on the shield. I know that was long but hopefully that answers your question haha.

How long ago was that? If it was 2 years ago I had the same issue. There were also some other imperfections. I called them up and told them about it. They sent me out a free replacement and I sent back the bad one. The new one they sent didn't have the orange peel look. The packaging and cut of the shield had also changed. It might have just been a bad batch or something. I did hate that orange peel look. I never saw it again after that though. The one on my iPhone 4 is the best looking one yet. Mainly because nothing is needed on the sides. The back did have a scaly look to it for the first 2 or 3 days. It now looks perfect. If you're looking for scratch protection only and are careful about not dropping it, then there is nothing better in my opinion.

I just did my sis iPhone 4 and it looks orange peel, now it has been like 2 days, so maybe it will go away or look better? Not thrilled with it overall.
Just my opinion, the OP can take it for what's it worth 😉

Ok, yeah. I see what you're talking about now. That one I was talking about from 2 years ago had the orange peel look really bad. It was easy to notice. I just looked at my iPhone 4 and when I look at it close and let light reflect on it I can see that orange peel look. I can only see it where a light bulb is reflecting though. I never noticed it. The bad one I had before even looked that way while using the phone. I can't see the orange peel look while using the phone. Even looking at it closely on a mostly white screen like scrolling though artists in the iPod. So yeah, you're right. It's there but you can only see it at certain angles in certain light. The best way to notice it is when the screen is off.

If you're really curious about how it will look you might want to see if your local AT&T store has one on display. At mine, they had one installed on one of their iPhone 4 demo units so they could show customers what it looks like.

The Zagg invisible shields are great, had it on for 2 years on my 3G (totally scratch free) and just put it on my 4G. No better screen scratch protector IMO without having some hideous big holder.

Those saying it has an orange peel look - ITS SUPPOSED TO it says on the Zagg website its supposed to, its part of the design - But its only very slight.

Fantastic investment.
Best way to apply it though is as you get your device straight out of the box. I tend to try and order one ready for my new gadgets, this ensures you get minimal dust (preferably none at all). So remove the plastic on deivce from shipping and install the shield immediately.
I have just traded in my iphone 2G (when my iphone 4 arrives will also do the same with my 3G) and there was not a single scratch on the front or the back, in fact it looked as if I had just taken it from the box!
Got to be honest it means the device does not as lovely and slick as the shiled free one but you can rest assured that it will not get scratched or marked, so it depends on your priorities.
