Battery Dying TOO MUCH FAST

Helow guys. For the first time in months, the battery of my iPhone 3GS 16 GB
started to die way too fast. It was automatically upgraded to the IOS 4 on Monday,
and it was working normal until yesterday, when the battery simply started
to die too fast, out of the blue, there is nothing else that could explain it.
Does anybody have a clue?

What troubleshooting steps from the manual have you done?

Man I'm in the same situation as yours: I find it very boring to have to close
the apps every single time I use them, and I've been questioning myself whether
this Multitasking feature is really a good thing. But there was someone who answered me telling that this Multitasking feature wans't the problem, that it doesn't use any more battery than the normal, and that the multitasking keep the apps suspended and not running on the background as I've thought.
