Problem printing slides from Keynote

I had the same problem, but figured it out. Go to Share > Export > Pdf and choose "slides with notes." The pdf version will have the slide covering just about the whole page with just a small part at the bottom for the notes.

If you want one full slide per page, print "Individual slides". For a nice layout of multiple slides without notes lines, choose "Individual Slides" and change the Layout/Pages per sheet to 6 (or whatever) per page. Then you don't waste any space on notes lines. No pdf step necessary.

You can save it as a Preset (dropdown under the Printer dropdown). You would probably have to dig into some xml file for Keynote to change the program default overall but I don't know and wouldn't risk screwing the program up.

It still will show in the preview that you are printing one slide/page but when I tried it, it printed 6 slides/page without being crammed into the corner of the page.

Still would be useful to have keynote default to "individual slides" and have "add borders around slides" turned off.

Anyone know how to change the presets for printing and options?

(NB. this has become a real issue in using Keynote with webex online meetings. have had to go back to powerpoint...)

two problems with that:

1) Even when I select add rules - I go to preview - and there is nothing

2) There is no page attributes that will allow me to select vertical orientation.

These have been the two problems I've been coming across... Thoughts?

p.s. - I am running iWork 08' not 09' - so I'm not sure if there is any difference with this feature.

I don't have '08 on my work machine where I am right now, so will have to take a look when I get home. Will let you know if I find anything out.

How do you save that as the default? I would like to default to individual slides and no notes.

Simple. When printing make sure that you have clicked on individual slides and you will have full slides. Good luck. Keynote is like gift from God.

Has anyone figured out how to print 3 slides per page for handout & note taking purposes, with lines for taking notes on the right side of a Vertical page?

Print Handouts>3 slides per page and check Add ruler lines. Then under Page Attributes select the Vertical page.
