Yeah same, got that email too.

I live in a crowded area (Northern Virginia, outside DC) but the guy at our store seemed to think it would take upwards of 2 weeks from placing the reservation. But it's a guessing game at this point.

Your incredibly lucky, I reserved mine the same day as well (7/2) but have not yet recieved an update E-mail /: Do you live in a highly populated area, or is it a ghost town? lol

You call your local Apple store, and ask them to put you on the "Reservation list" for the iPhone 4, and once they get to you on the list, they will send you an e-mail notifying you that your iPhone 4 is ready to pick up. However, you have 24 hours within receiving that e-mail to go and pick it up, otherwise it's gunna go to someone else! Also, you don't pay a dime until you pick it up 🙂 So reservation list is free!

How long after we get the "movin' on up" mail till we get the sacred your iphone has arrived mail? 🙂

The moving up email has nothing to do with where you stand on the list. Everyone still waiting got that email yesterday. Apple just wanted to let you know you're STILL on the list and they haven't forgotten about all of us who have yet to receive our phones.

I have yet to receive the "your moving up the list" email.

I was put on the list for a 32GB model at the Bethesda (Maryland) Apple Store on July 3. I was told it would probably be "a few weeks", so I wasn't expecting anything this week.

I received the e-mail July 8th, One week after I walked in an registered at the Apple Store. Anyone else receive it a week afterwards?

I just got off the phone with the Knoxville, TN Apple Store. The Apple Store employee provided the following information.

-The Knoxville store is absolutely not selling any iPhone 4s to anyone who is not the priority list.
-Folks are waiting two-to-three weeks from the day that they were originally put on the list to get their iPhones.
-The employee was not aware of the "your moving up the list" email. The person said that this second email could be something that Apple was doing that he/she was just simply not aware of it.

Is that the movin on up email or come pick up email? 🙂

I was put on the priority list on Monday and never received a confirmation email, I called the store Tuesday and asked about the email and the associate said there was no confirmation email. But she said she would check my status and I wasn't on the list! She added me and after that I went into the store to check that I REALLY WAS on the list this time and I was. I'm just a little confused why nearly everyone posting here got a confirmation email but I never did.

Is there anyone else that didn't receive a confirmation email?

Hey it's nice to see someone else who is familiar with woodfield mall. I used to live right down the street and loved that mall. Anyway, I am in dallas now and I went to my apple store in frisco to be on the priority list and I haven't received the second email from them but what I did two nights ago was I walked into a best buy store just to look around and I asked one of the phone reps if they had any iphones and she said yeah and I purchased my 32 gb iphone that day. Although I am still on the priority list, I have my iphone. I would suggest going to third party stores.
