Alternative to iPhoto?

I just switched over from PC to Mac, and I'm looking for a program to replace iPhoto. I really liked Picasa for the PC and unfortunately they don't make a Mac version.

Can anyone recommend something that is more user friendly and less buggy than iPhoto? I'm thinking about checking out Photoshop Elements but wanted to see if there are better programs out there. The main things I want to do are organize (with more flexibility than iPhoto allows), and touch-up photos (red eye, sharpness, color, contrast). Any recos?

Hi Kevin,
If Graphic Convertor cam installed on you Mac, give it a try. You organize the images in folders the way you want in the Finder. Graphic convertor will browse those folders, not import them into a database.
Most others here use iViewMedia and iViewMedia Pro as an alternative.
