So silly that it passed through Liege, that's about 40km away from here 🙂 Now my friend needs to send it back to Belgium for me. Oh well, iPhone's not coming out here in the next 2-3 weeks!

djbp that was something that's really annoyed me too - how can Apple start their Applecare policy before the iPhone has even been delivered? (Going by my estimated delivery date that's over 2 weeks before.)

No carrier tracking number or assigned carrier. 😟

Don't want to be pessimistic but these delays also impact the new "generous" extended 30-day returns policy. The 30 days starts from shipping date so many folks on here, me included, will be at least one week into their evaluation period before the phone even arrives.

Just got off the phone to the script readers at Apple, apparently UK deliveries use different couriers for the China/Europe and Warehouse/delivery legs so they don't bother piping information about the first leg to the end users.

According to the person in the callcentre my phone is currently in Luxembourg where it's now been for 24 hours.

So the start date on the applecare policy is basically an outright lie since the device at that time is not only, not in my possession but not even in the same continent.

Still in Arnhem... 😟 no update since yesterday afternoon...

TNT-UK replied to my twitter saying I can track the package thru their site. That's a sleepy way to respond to issues...

djbp - I don't know why Apple told you that, I've been tracking my UK ordered iPhone 4 since July 1st on the TNT website, all the way from Shenzhen, via Hong Kong and the last update was at Arnhem yesterday afternoon.

As for your Applecare policy, if I were you I'd wait until you get the phone and then ring up and ask them to alter the start date. Don't know if they will but it seems a reasonable thing to expect.

Personally I'm not too worried about the time this is taking, but I was a bit gutted when I popped into the Regent Street store on Saturday and found out they had iPhone 4s in stock. If I had known I'd have ended up there beforehand I never would have ordered online!

All I have is a Delivery reference number or an additional order number. Neither of these work on the TNT US site.

When I spoke to Apple they said it should be here by the 7th, but couldn't confirm it location!

If it going to be delayed I would at least like to see its journey.

below the delivery reference area should be another box saying carrier tracking number (mines 9 digits long) and below that it should say your carrier (aka TNT).

on the tnt site you should use this page to track:

this is for UK only. If you don't have a carrier tracking number then you should call apple n ask as you should receive one as standard.

When clicking "Track your order" from the email Apple sent, you have to login to apple site, then you should be able to see a long button "Track this shipment" in the upper right side. After clicking track this shipment, you should be able to see something like this:

Our Delivery Reference Number
811XXXXXX
Carrier Tracking Number
758XXXXXX

on the left side of the screen. The "carrier tracking number" means "Consignment number" of TNT; "Our Delivery Reference Number" is "Reference number" of Apple. Both these can help you tracking you package on TNT tracking page.

In the bottom left of the screen you've quoted from I have two boxes:
Carrier Tracking Number
Assigned Carrier

Assigned Carrier says "TNT" so I'm using the number in Carrier Tracking Number at:

I have already been charge don my card and still no sign of the phone being in the UK. I have contacted TNT for this. Awaiting response.
