July 1st despatch date problem UK?

just wondering if anyone whose phone was despatched on 1st for UK delivery is having problems with tracking on TNT's website, I'm a little concerned as I booked 5th and 6th off of work to take delivery, anyone actually received theirs yet?

That's good news, mine was collected from Shenzhen about 2 hours before yours, so I guess it'll be on the same shipment. I seem to get my TNT tracking page updated about 4 hours behind most other people. Fingers crossed (as I'm in Essex as well!)

Mine too is stuck at Arnhem Hub.
I'm in West London, so I would have expected an update. I just can't understand why some shipments are on the move to the UK and others seem not to be.

this is just crazy....

We decided to play the game and pre-order the iPhone online before it's officially launch. The 17 for me. We are waiting for 3 weeks after everybody. No information from anyone, TNT or Apple. Our credit Card have been charged without any delay this time, more fast than the "Quick Dispatch" we were supposed to benefit from. People who dont even care about iPhone just went on traditional shops a few days after its launch and just ... bought it! now we are stucked because they charged our credit card. We are stucked cause we didn't go to work in order to receive this sh.t. We are stucked cause we are just so stupid having pre-ordered it. This process should have ease our purchase. It has turn it into a nightmare. I dont have words to define how I am angry and disgusted seeing the way we are considered.

24 hours without updating online status for a "fast international dispatch". Just amazing... 739 euros for just a phone... next time for sure i'll never make same mistake.

@gb_belly

Per my post earlier today - TNT advised not to rely on the tracker for the latest position. It is only updating sporadically and does not necessarily reflect the latest position. This seems to be borne out by what others are experiencing.

For example mine has still not moved from Arnhem online but they were able to tell me exactly when it would be in the UK @ Stansted and then out for delivery tomorrow. Suggest you give them a call. Good luck.

@EssexBantam :You're right about slow tracker update, but also @lordybad has a point: why on earth to order online if everybody else gets it before you?! Wasn't Apple itself advising everybody to go online instead of waiting in line? Ordering online only cuts you 30 days term of return and leaves you without money way before having the product.

I agree, Apple should not have sold any NEW iphones before satisfying the waiting list, however I spoke to someone at apple yesterday who was very helpful he said that the only thing he could think of is that the iphones that people are buying are the ones others have returned as "faulty" so maybe we are the lucky ones

Yeah just spoke to TNT, it's tomorrow delivery for me...

Re tracking systems; why have one if they don't keep it up to date. I thought these things were tracked automatically via barcodes etc...

Re the ordering online thing; I think Apple play their customers really well. I think they get as many people to pre-order online as they can. This means they can ship straight from the factory, it also leaves at least some stock in the shop so people can just wonder in off the street on the off chance. Im in no real rush myself, however, if I thought they would be stock in a shop, I've have bought one there and then rather than wait for 3 weeks. I stupidly thought pre-ordering would get some priority.....Also, as I work from home today delivery would have been better.
I wonder if Apple get compensation from TNT for the delivery being "late". Should have been 5th-6th july, it'll be 7th now...I'm sure Apple don't say to TNT "just get it there when you can..."

That's a dumb thing to say for an Apple employee. Any returned phone cannot be possible sold again without a fair amount of work which may even require replacement parts. No returned phone is repacked in the back of the store over night, forget about it. I saw my phone has been recalled from a local depot on 8th of June, so I can only hope for a functional one.
