iTunes and .flac?

Does iTunes play .flac files?

iTunes doesn't support FLAC, you would need to convert the files to something iTunes can use or look for a third party plug-in to allow iTunes to play the files.

Are you sure the FLAC you started with was 24-bit (sometimes labeled as FLAC-HD)?


If it was a normal CD-quality (16-bit) FLAC, inflating it will not improve the audio quality.
