Why is Safari called Safari (Original)?

Why is Safari called Safari (Original)?

Since the most recent update, when I open Safari, it is labelled as "Safari (Original)". On the dock, it contains this name also.

What does "original" mean in this context?

Mac Pro 2.66, Mac OS X (10.6.4), 5 gb RAM

Do you have two Safaris on your Mac?
One in the Applications folder, and another one tucked away in it's own folder?

What does it say in Safari menu - About Safari ?
copy & paste the details here.

If you ctrl-click on the Safari dock icon & choose 'Show in Finder' - does it reveal the Safari app in your Applications folder ?

Version 5.0 (6533.16) (this is what the About Safari item shows.

I did a spotlight search and the only other "Safari" is in the Windows XP volume and is listed as "SafariSyncClient".

I am tempted to download Safari 5 again to see what it does.

I completely wiped out Safari and re-downloaded it. The term "Original" is now gone. Case closed. Thanks for the input!
