iPad Battery Discharging

HI all,
Anyone had any issues with the iPad battery losing charge quickly? For instance, my iPad lost 12% of its charge (from 100% down to 88%) over a period of 10 hours with the device turned off. I made certain that all wifi and 3G network connections were switched off when I turned the iPad off.

I read a thread here suggesting that GoodReader may be a culprit (for some reason) and have since removed that app. Still waiting for a decent time to elapse before checking battery capacity again to see if that has made any difference.

Did not have this problem when the iPad was 'new', ie a couple of weeks old.

Over last nigh my battery started at 51%(9:30pm) by morning(6:00am) it dropped to 38%. Then without using it all day it dropped to 17%(7:00pm). Any ideas of what is going on?

Since my new iPad installed the latest operating system, the battery has been discharging at the rate of about 10% in about 20 minutes........ Any clues out there?

I'm having a similar problem with my ipad 2, system 6.0.2 and it has been getting worse lately. Last night when I shut it totally down, it was at 21 percent. This morning when I turned it on, it was at 18 percent and then within the first 10 seconds, dropped to 17 percent. What would be causing battery drain while it is totally shut off. I have it on now but in sleep mode and haven't even used it today yet and will see what happens. Thanks.

Yikes. It has dropped to 16 percent now and I haven't used it. The "usage" info says I've only used it for 2 hours too. This doesn't sound right at all.

Mine is still playing up. I can get probably 2 hours use out of it before it has to go on charge. It wouldn't be so bad if it was an old machine, but this is less than six months old! AND it's only been doing it since the new operating system was installed. How can I get the old op system back? Please!!!!!!!!
