FTP server via Mac G4 10.5.8

I"m new to building an FTP server. Clueless. I do use FileZilla for sending files, but how do I build my own server for sending HD video files to clients across the country and vice versa? Is FCP server to key or can you do it with what I have? Just need to know if I'm wasting time buying a gigabit PC card for a G4 and using my business class Comcast connection for this. Help!

Hi

Final Cut Server is totally different from an FTP server.

FCSvr is a complicated, powerful piece of software for managing video assets in a Final Cut editing environment. The software is $1000.

An FTP server, which sounds like what you want, is simply a computer with access to the public internet and a (relatively simple) FTP server software running on it. In theory you can use the built-in FTP file sharing in Mac OS X (System Preferences - Sharing - FTP), but it's not particularly flexible. I've used CrushFTP at several clients and like it.
