Timemachine to FTP
Has anyone been able to solve backing up Time Machine to an FTP server yet?
I've read this article, which allows one to write to a network disk:

The only hurdle I can't seem to get over is making an FTP server a writable network disk. By the looks of it, Finder allows read only FTP access by default, but presumably there has to be a way of altering this - with or without the use of some additional software.
I used to do this with an old XP machine I used to use as a server at least 4 years ago, so it must be possible on a mac, right?
