iPhone 4 time off by 3-5 minutes

I just upgraded to the iPhone 4, and when I set the time to "automatic," it's off by 3-5 minutes. I've double checked multiple known time sources, and it's flat wrong. I've reset the phone multiple times as well and returned the settings to original OEM. Nothing.

I just set the time manually, but has anyone else had this issue?

I am having the same problem and a network reset does not resolve the problem. My iPhone 3GS is correct, but my iPhone 4 is slow by 4 minutes. AppleCare and AT&T cutomer service did not have a fix. A reset network settings does not help.

I'm curious if this problem is local to a specific cell tower or happening all over. I am in the Flower Mound, TX area. Where else are people having the same problem?

Definitely not limited to a specific area. I'm currently in North Carolina and have been here, in South Carolina, and in Georgia using iPhone 4 and the problem with my phone clock being behind has persisted every place I've been.

Same thing here. I'm in North Dallas and my time is ahead by 4 minutes. Reseting network settings didn't help. Rebooting at my work did work, but when I came home, my time is off again. I think AT&T's network is at fault here.

I doubt AT&T's network is to blame since my wife's iPhone 3G and my buddy's HTC Aria are both on the same network and they are both in sync with the correct time. My iPhone 4 is the odd one out.

I have a 3G on 3.1.3 and its 4 minutes slow. It syncs to Houston as the city. I changed it to manual and set it correctly and when I turned on set automatic, its 4 minutes slow AGAIN.... I think this is AT&T as that is were the time is coming from. What would be nice is an app that allows you to sync to a time server. NIST works great on XP, Windows 7 allows you to pick your time server....

However, as someone else posted, another phone on the same 3G network did not have this problem. Only the iPhone 4.
